Depart Twin Pines at 9.00am and catch the 9.30
ferry to Iluka.
This pleasant river cruise on the headwaters of the
Clarence River is both scenic and informative. The coach
will meet you at the Iluka wharf and take you on a scenic
tour of the area, visiting the Clarence River Fishing
Co-op to check out the days catch before it goes to
market. Thousands of kilograms of the freshest prawns you
will ever see!. Then to Iluka's World Heritage
Rainforest, one of the rarest in Australia. This well
made path enable easy walking and takes the slowest
walkers approximately 30 minutes. Then its morning tea in
the National Park.
After morning tea we move on through historic
Chatsworth Island to the Glen Ian Ostrich Farm near
Tullymorgan. You will see everything from incubation of
eggs to full grown birds.
Lunch. a good Aussie Bar-B-Que picnic, depending on
the time of year, you will be served by the dam
overlooking this beautiful setting. We arrive home at
2.30pm. The afternoon is free and dinner is served at
6.30pm.

We head on to the historic Naval Museum and Opal
and Gem Museum. then morning tea on the way to
Lennox Head. We take the scenic drive through
Lennox
Head to picturesque Cape Byron, overlooking
the blue pacific and Byron
Bay.

We tour around Byron, take a look at Strop's Pub and
have lunch at Byron bay Services Club.
After lunch we sample hot macadamia nuts at Macadamia
Land, then on through the coastal orchard areas to the
townships of Alstonville
returning home through Wardell.
We arrive home at around 4pm.

After breakfast we hard off to Squatters Rest.
This family operated business display's one of the finest
collections of antiques on the north coast. Turn of the
century cottages, bush poetry and a few jokes on the old
stage.
Home made damper will be served in original bush oven,
billy tea and coffee will be served around the
pianola.

We depart for Grafton,
the jacaranda City where you will have a 45
minute stop to allow for any shopping or
personal business. Lunch will be served at the
Village green
After lunch we visit Christchurch cathedral
before heading back to Yamba via Lawrence and
the vehicle ferry access the Clarence arriving
at 3.30pm

After breakfast we head down to Angourie, 10
minutes south of Yamba and take in the Blue
Pools, carved out of solid rock, 75 metres from
the ocean and full of fresh water. Known as one
of the best surfing spots in the world and
surrounded by national Park, Angourie has a lot
to offer the visitor. We move on to Lake
Wolloweyah, one of the major fish and prawn
breeding grounds on the coast.

Take an inside look at the Oyster processing plant, meet
some interesting locals and feed the pelicans. Then we
head on to Maclean, the Scottish town. Morning tea will
be served on the mountain lookout with panoramic views of
the Clarence Valley.
The new Ferry Park, tourist information and arts and
craft centre is only a few minutes away and we visit
there before heading down to beautiful Brooms
Head, a very popular holiday centre, then down
through the Yuragir
National Park to the magnificent Sandon River. This
river, bounded by National Park, has the cleanest water
on the coast, a picnic lunch will be served at the rivers
edge. Bring your towels and swimmers. After lunch we head
back to Yamba arriving about 2.30pm

Breakfast, your XPT departs from Grafton for
Sydney at 11.30am. The Countrylink bus will pick you up
from the Motel at approx 10.00am for you trip to Grafton,
or you will be transported to meet any other travel
requirements. Pioneer Motor Services coach departs
Maclean for Brisbane at 8.10am

A choice of evening meals are served in the new
Bowling Club Restaurant. Continental Breakfast is served
in your room. Special requirements are catered for.
